Admission Requirements
For Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) applicants, the admission requirements are:

^ If one of the subjects is Citizenship and Social Development (CSD), the minimum admission requirement for CSD would be "Attained".
* Applied Learning subjects can be used for admission purposes:
- "Attained" is deemed to have achieved "Level 2";
- "Attained with Distinction (I)" is deemed to have achieved "Level 3”; and
- "Attained with Distinction (II)" is deemed to have achieved "Level 4".
# For non-Chinese speaking (NCS) students fulfilling one of the specified conditions in “Note 1”, "Attained" or above in Applied Learning Chinese would be accepted as an alternative Chinese Language qualification. For NCS HKDSE candidates applying for the Associate Degree Programme, the following alternative Chinese Language qualifications are also recognised by the College of International Education as equivalent to HKDSE Chinese Language:
- Grade E or above in GCE A/AS Level Chinese; or
- Grade C or above in GCSE/IGCSE/GCE O-Level Chinese.
Note 1:
The specified conditions are:
(a). The candidates have learned Chinese Language for less than six years while receiving primary and secondary education; or
(b). The candidates have learned Chinese Language for six years or more in schools, but have been taught an adapted and simpler curriculum not normally applicable to the majority of students in local schools.
Instrument Requirement for Music Studies (Associate Degree):
Grade 8 in practical examination of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) or equivalent in standard. Applicants are required to attend and pass the audition. The list of instruments is as follows:
- Piano
- Voice
- String (Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass)
- Winds (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon and Saxophone)
- Brass (Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba and Euphonium)
Application Requirement for Sport and Recreation Studies (Associate Degree):
Applicants choosing Sport and Recreation Studies as their first choice should input their sports achievements and upload related supporting documents via the CIE Online Application System.
Required Documents and Information
Applicants are required to provide the following information and/or supporting documents in application:
- Personal Particulars
- HKDSE results notice or certificate
- HKDSE Candidate Entry Information Checklist (if HKDSE results notice does not have full name of the applicant)
- Results slip or certificate for alternative Chinese language qualification (Non-Chinese speaking HKDSE candidate)
Important Notes on Academic Credentials
Applicants must ensure the accuracy and authenticity of their academic credentials. For any false or misleading information, the College reserves the right to:
- revoke the admission offer / student status / awards already conferred;
- forfeit the application fee, tuition fees, and other admission-related fees paid;
- directly contact or request applicants to contact their credential-awarding institutions or bodies to provide verified true copies of relevant academic credentials;
- re-verify the academic credentials submitted by current students at the time of admission and throughout their period of study and may request further proof
