This summer, I had the privilege of participating in a meaningful internship program called the Youth Internship Programme at the Wolong National Nature Reserve in Sichuan. During my two-week stay in Sichuan, I not only immersed myself in the local culture but also gained valuable insights into ecological conservation and sustainable development practices in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am honored to serve as the Education Ambassador of the Giant Panda National Park. This is an incredibly valuable experience, being able to serve our 'national treasure.' The internship included interesting and diverse tasks, such as cleaning the pandas' living areas, acting as an ambassador to guide visitors to visit the park, and designing promotional posters to promote the park. These work opportunities were unique and meaningful experiences since they were not available in Hong Kong, making my engagement in this summer internship work particularly special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, working at the Giant Panda National Park has been incredibly beneficial for me. As a student of Geography and Resources Management with a keen interest in sustainable development, I recognize the importance of achieving a balance between the environment, economy, and society. This internship has not only deepened my understanding of panda conservation efforts but has also shed light on the impact of tourism development on the surrounding environment and local community. The experience has been invaluable in expanding my knowledge and shaping my future career path. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to serve as an Education Ambassador at the Giant Panda National Park and be a part of this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This area is renowned for its towering mountains, reaching heights of over 4,000 meters, abundant vegetation, and diverse wildlife.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the internship work, the program included numerous meaningful activities, including bird watching, bamboo planting, and hiking. Moreover, I had the opportunity to visit Tangfang (Balang Mountain) (\u5510\u574a\uff08\u5df4\u90ce\u5c71\uff09), Dengsheng Conservation Station (\u9127\u751f\u4fdd\u8b77\u7ad9), Wolong Museum of Nature and Earthquake (\u81e5\u9f8d\u81ea\u7136\u5730\u9707\u535a\u7269\u9928), and Tangjiahe Nature Reserve (\u5510\u5bb6\u6cb3\u81ea\u7136\u4fdd\u8b77\u5340). These experiences were truly eye-opening, allowing me to connect with nature on a deeper level and expanding my understanding of geography and nature conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
