Recently, CIE Investment Club organised the \u201c2018 Investment Knowledge and Skill Seminar\u201d. The aim of the seminar is to deepen students\u2019 investment knowledge, enhance their skills as well as to prepare them for entering the 3rd Joint University Investment Game. It is hoped that our students will follow the important principle suggested by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong: \u201cLearn first, invest later\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Club invited Ms. Joanne Siu, ETF Sales Director of Samsung Asset Management (HK) Limited to share her investment wisdom and knowledge of Exchange Traded Funds. Mr. William Lai, the Course Coordinator of Financial Management Concentration Studies of CIE, also joined to deliver important knowledge in handling other investment products, especially the derivatives.<\/p>\n

Around 370 participants from various Concentration Studies of the Associate Degree Programme as well as Self-funded Undergraduate Programmes of HKBU joined the event. Many participants actively raised their questions towards the end of the seminar and all of them found the seminar very informative and practicable.<\/p>\n
