\u6d78\u5927\u570b\u969b\u5b78\u9662\u5be6\u8e10\u54f2\u5b78\u5718\u968a\u6bcf\u5e74\u70ba\u5b78\u751f\u5b89\u6392\u6d77\u5916\u5609\u8cd3\u8b1b\u5ea7\u3002\u7e7c2024\u5e74Prof. Metz\u70baCIE\u5b78\u751f\u5e36\u4f86\u975e\u6d32\u502b\u7406\u5b78\u8b1b\u5ea7\u4e4b\u5f8c\uff0c\u4eca\u5e743\u6708\u4f86\u81ea\u65e5\u672c\u65e9\u7a3b\u7530\u5927\u5b78\u7684\u68ee\u5ca1\u6559\u6388 (Prof. Masahiro Morioka)\u8b1b\u6388\u4ed6\u5c0d\u300c\u7121\u75db\u6587\u660e\u300d\u7684\u54f2\u5b78\u601d\u8003\u3002\u6d3b\u52d5\u5f8c\u6709\u540c\u5b78\u9078\u64c7\u64b0\u6587\u56de\u61c9\u68ee\u5ca1\u6559\u6388\u7684\u8b1b\u8ab2\u4f5c\u70ba\u4e3b\u4fee\u8ab2Technology and the Future of Humanity\u4f5c\u696d\u3002\u4ed6\u5011\u6a02\u610f\u5728\u6b64\u520a\u51fa\u5176\u6587\u7ae0\u9078\u7bc0\uff0c\u70ba\u4ed6\u5011\u591a\u5143\u3001\u5177\u6709\u6311\u6230\u6027\u7684CIE\u5b78\u7fd2\u751f\u6daf\u7559\u4e0b\u7d00\u5ff5\u3002\u6709\u8208\u8da3\u9032\u4e00\u6b65\u4e86\u89e3\u68ee\u5ca1\u6559\u6388\u54f2\u5b78\u601d\u60f3\u7684\u670b\u53cb\uff0c\u9664\u4e86\u9ede\u64ca\u9023\u7d50(https:\/\/www.philosophyoflife.org\/tpp\/painless01.pdf<\/a>)\u95b1\u8b80\u4ed6\u7684\u66f8\u7c4d\u5916\uff0c\u9084\u53ef\u4ee5\u770b\u770b\u5b78\u751f\u7684\u4f5c\u54c1\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMorioka introduces a new term \u201cPainless Civilization\u201d to bring out his ideas on meaning in life. [\u2026] He claims that modern civilization tends to satisfy the five aspects of our \u201cdesire of the body\u201d (\u201cseeking pleasure and avoiding pain\/ maintaining the current state of affairs and planning for stability\/ expanding and increasing itself if there is an opening\/sacrificing other people\/controlling life and nature), especially through technological development. His examples include the cancer screening technology and the test of amniotic fluid technology (for selective abortion). However, he thinks that the tendency undermines meaning in life. [\u2026]. He indicates that people could alter their psychological framework to a new view of life from significant pain. It would lead people to \u201cfeel the joy of life\u201d from a reborn at the bottom of life. [\u2026] [I think that] it is not clear if his view of \u201cmeaning in life\u201d is a subjectivist or an objectivist one. If it is a subjectivist, then it is hard to judge whether pain can produce meaning or just pure suffering.\u201d (by J. Fung)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAccording to Morioka, our technology tries to enhance pleasure and eliminate pain systematically [\u2026] [The technology] has the feature of, using Albert Borgmann\u2019s term, disburdening. [\u2026] Painless Civilization is not an ideal. [\u2026] As a result [of Painless Civilization], we systematically lose the chance to learn the precious meaning in life that can only be acquired through the experience of severe pain and suffering. [\u2026] [But] it is so hard to prove great suffering [e.g. from a tragedy] is a morally permissible element for obtaining \u201cthe joy or life\u201d. [\u2026] I propose \u201cthe Alternative Element of Joy of Life\u201d. Honestly, I am not sure if such element exists. But the first [and only] answer that comes to my mind is Philosophy. [\u2026] What can bring about a breakdown and reconstruction of a psychological framework [needed for the joy of life]? Philosophy is the most fundamental way. We ask for the ultimate value when carrying out an action. [\u2026] Indeed, philosophy may lead us to uncertainty.
