\u8eab\u5728\u842c\u7269\u6025\u4fc3\u6578\u4f4d\u5316\u7684\u6642\u4ee3\uff0c\u4e92\u806f\u7db2\u4f7f\u8cc7\u672c\u4e3b\u7fa9\u793e\u6703\u7684\u7269\u617e\u66f4\u6a6b\u6d41\uff0c\u4f46\u4eba\u8207\u7269\u4e4b\u9593\u7684\u95dc\u4fc2\u537b\u66f4\u758f\u96e2\u3002\u65e9\u524d\uff0c\u4eba\u6587\u53ca\u8a9e\u8a00\u5b78\u90e8\u7684\u6587\u5316\u7814\u7a76\u53ca\u5275\u610f\u7522\u696d\u6587\u5b78\u58eb\uff08\u69ae\u8b7d\uff09\u5b78\u4f4d\u8ab2\u7a0b\u8acb\u4f86\u5289\u5929\u862d\u5973\u58eb(\u5f62\u8c61\u6307\u5c0e\u3001\u7b56\u5c55\u4eba\u3001\u51fa\u7248\u4eba)\u4f86\u5206\u4eab\u5979\u8207\u300c\u7269\u300d\u7684\u7a2e\u7a2e\u7de3\u5206\u548c\u9082\u9005\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6f14\u8b1b\u4f0a\u59cb\uff0c\u5929\u862d\u5f9e\u7ae5\u5e74\u5a13\u5a13\u9053\u4f86\uff0c\u8ddf\u540c\u5b78\u7d30\u6578\u5979\u5404\u5f0f\u5404\u6a23\u6536\u85cf\u54c1\u3002\u7ffb\u770b\u81ea\u5c0f\u5f9e\u5831\u7ae0\u526a\u4e0b\u65e9\u901d\u7236\u89aa\u7684\u6587\u7ae0\uff0c\u898b\u5b57\u5982\u898b\u4eba\uff1b\u5225\u4eba\u8cb7\u540d\u724c\uff0c\u5979\u504f\u597d\u5fa9\u53e4\u7684\u80f8\u91dd\u3001\u9215\u6263\u3001\u7c89\u76d2\u3001\u624b\u888b\uff0c\u7433\u7405\u6eff\u76ee\uff1b\u9084\u6709\u67d0\u8d9f\u65e5\u672c\u4e4b\u65c5\u8208\u4e4b\u6240\u81f3\u8cb7\u4e0b\u7684\u7b77\u5b50\u5ea7\u3001\u5728\u4e16\u754c\u5404\u5730\u5927\u57ce\u5e02\u66f8\u5831\u6524\u627e\u5230\u7684\u7d55\u7248\u5bf6\u7269\uff1b\u4ee5\u53ca\u7d66\u5973\u5152Yoyo\u7684\u5eff\u4e00\u6b72\u751f\u65e5\u79ae\u7269\uff1a\u6574\u7bb1\u7684\u5152\u6642\u9304\u97f3\u5e36\u6eff\u8f09\u6210\u9577\u7684\u56de\u61b6\u3002\u300c\u6211\u50cf\u4e00\u500b\u62fe\u8352\u8005\u300d\uff0c\u5979\u81ea\u5632\u3002\u53ef\u662f\u5979\u62fe\u7684\uff0c\u662f\u6642\u4ee3\u7684\u8352\uff0c\u5728\u90a3\u4e9b\u7f8e\u597d\u6b72\u6708\u6563\u843d\u7684\u9583\u720d\u7684\u788e\u7247\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6700\u5f8c\uff0c\u5929\u862d\u63d0\u5230\u5979\u8fd1\u4f86\u958b\u59cb\u5275\u4f5c\u7684\u62fc\u8cbc\u756b\u4ee5\u53ca\u559c\u6176\u6642\u7bc0\u7279\u5730\u505a\u7d66\u5404\u65b9\u53cb\u597d\u7684\u8336\u7389\u5b50\u3002\u6211\u5011\u7684\u65e5\u5e38\u5145\u65a5\u90a3\u9ebc\u591a\u6771\u897f\uff0c\u7576\u4e2d\u5f88\u591a\u90fd\u503c\u5f97\u6211\u5011\u7d30\u5473\u6b23\u8cde\u3002\u4eba\u751f\u65bc\u4e16\uff0c\u672c\u7121\u4e00\u7269\uff1b\u4f46\u82e5\u679c\u7121\u7269\uff0c\u5be6\u5982\u5bc4\u5875\u3002\u5979\u5bc4\u8a9e\uff1a\u300c\u73a9\u7269\uff0c\u4f46\u4e0d\u53ef\u55aa\u5fd7\uff01\u300d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tina Liu on Materialism: Tina\u2019s Story of Things<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the age of the internet and increasing (dis-)connectedness, we are surrounded by an excess of material things that simultaneously suffocates and alienates us. On a fine afternoon In April, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Cultural Studies and Creative Industries of Division of Arts and Languages had the pleasure to invite Ms. Tina Liu (image director, curator, editor) share with us her take on things \u2014 as embodiment of beauty, memory, and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tina began to trace her personal relationship with things from her late father\u2019s writings, to vintage brooches, buttons, powder cases, handbags collected throughout the years, delicate chopstick rests she purchased on a trip to Japan, old books and magazines from across the world, and childhood recordings of her daughter Yoyo\u2019s. She loves these things \u2014 collectibles \u2014 for their beauty and, more importantly, how they are, each alone, the crystallization of a singular moment in an epoch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But her love of things extends beyond the personal. In 2023, she and a few other friends at the Hong Kong Film Arts Association put together an exhibition, Out of Thin Air, that showcases the sets and costumes from notable local movies, old and new. This year, Tina is working on another project of a similar nature: sorting out the costume archives for the Shaw Studios. To her, these are more than historical relics; they are the very fabric on which the dreams and culture of a people were woven. To quote Bill Brown (2001), \u201cWe begin to confront the thingness of objects when they stop working for us,\u201d rearranging film props is not to resurrect them, but to remember and reimagine the many ways that they have enlivened us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the sharing, Tina showed us the tea eggs and collages that she made, for fun, \u201cMy friends once persuaded me to sell the eggs at their consignment shop, but it was too much pressure that it would drain all the fun.\u201d Perhaps, beyond all talk of grandiosity, our relationship with things are but a grounding sense of playfulness that affirms the truest and most basic of our humanity: to have and to hold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
