Quota Printing Service

"Follow-U Print" is a printing service, which aims at facilitating students collection of print-outs easily in any linked up Fujifilm photocopiers by using own Student ID Card or SSOid to sign-on at the printing machines.

"Follow-U Print" printing service is available only at:

1-4/F, 8/F & 10/F & 12-14/F Lobby Areas
Multi-media PC Labs (Rm 710, 711, 810, 811, 910, 911 & 1010)

Why do I need to register my Student ID Card in order to use "Follow-U Print" service?

You will need to register your Student ID Card when you use the "Follow-U Print" system for the first time. In your subsequent logon to the printer, you only need to tap your Student ID Card on the card reader without entering username and password. For details, please refer to the "Registration Guideline".

How do I release print jobs from "Follow-U Print" Fujifilm photocopiers?

To release print jobs, you will need to use your Student ID Card to tap on card reader of photocopier to sign-in the system OR you can also sign-in using SSOid. For details, please refer to the "Release Print Job Guideline".

Where could I access "Follow-U Print" printing service in CIE?

"Follow-U Print" could be accessed only at 1/F Learning Commons, 1-4/F & 12-14/F Kiosk PC Areas and Multi-media PC Labs (Rm 710, 711, 810, 811, 910, 911 & 1010).

Do I need to register again in order to use "Follow-U Print" service at KLT Main Campus?

Once you register "Follow-U Print" service using Student ID Card, you could access the service at both KLT Main Campus and Shek Mun Campus.

Could I release print job at KLT Main Campus after submitting print job at Shek Mun Campus and vice versa?

Print job could only be released in the same Campus of print job submission.

Does it support color printing?

"Follow-U Print" service supports color printing. Simply select the color option at printing setup and release the print jobs at COLOR laser photocopier.

Does it support Wi-Fi printing from my own smartphones, laptops or tablets?

Wi-Fi printing of "Follow-U Print" service in Shek Mun Campus is supported now.

How to check my quota balance, spooled job(s) and printing history?

You can logon to "Follow-U Print" webpage (https://fup.hkbu.edu.hk:9192/) to check your quota balance, spooled print job(s) and printing history.

Where could I purchase additional print quota in KLT Main Campus?

You can purchase additional print quota (HK$30 per unit) from ITO Service Centre during office hours at RRS-303 of Sir Run Run Shaw Building in Ho Sin Hang Campus. Payment must be made by Octopus card. Newly purchased quota will be activated within an hour.

What can I do if I encounter paper jam on printers at PC Kiosks?

You can seek help from G/F Information Counter at extn. 3300, from 0800 to 1900 (Mon to Fri).

Can I refund if the printing quality is not good?

Student could request quota adjustment at the 1/F Learning Commons by filling a "Application for Printing Quota Adjustment" form.

The quality of recycled paper is poor, so why do we still have to use it for printing?

To sustain the Green Campus, recycled paper is adopted for printing purpose.

Will the College make any arrangements to clean‐up waste paper piled up on the out‐tray of the printer in the labs during free‐use?

To facilitate students for the identification of print‐jobs, an additionalsheet is generated. The clean‐ up of waste paper has been arranging on a regular basis. Moreover, a collection box for left‐over printouts (列印文件待領) was arranged near printing machine to reduce the piling‐up on the out‐tray of the printing machine.

Are printers at the Learning Commons pre‐set to double‐sided printing as default?

Yes, default double‐sided printing is set up already.

Can I deduct my printing quota when using the photocopier?

Both services are managed by different systems. It is not feasible to deduct printing quota when using the photocopier at Shek Mun campus.
