20 CIE students travelled to the UK this summer from 14 June to 7 July to participate in a study tour at the University of York. Over the course of the three week programme, students improved their English writing and communication through the instruction of their tutors, while also learning about local English culture and travelling to famous regional attractions such as the seaside town of Whitby. To complete the programme, the students worked on a research project in which they interviewed locals about an aspect of culture in their city. Besides learning, students also got a chance to get outside their comfort zone by living with homestay families and interacting with students from Thailand. Overall, the tour was a very valuable experience for the students and gave them many unforgettable memories.

Students perform at a farewell party held for their homestay families at the end of the tour.
