Life Science students had recently joint a campus visit and a guest talk at HKUST (Department of Chemistry and Department of Life Science). Thanks to Dr. Dennis Chan, Department of Chemistry, guiding Life Science year 1 and 2 students to have a lab tour in HKUST. His research team explained how the lab equipment is being employed in testing and certificate research. Life Science students gained a lot of the latest technologies used in chemical analysis and research.

Life Science students joined the campus visit and guest talk at HKUST.

Dr. Tsui Kwong Hoi (Ph.D. alumnus, collaborative researcher in HKUST) shared his research findings and contribution to the field of nanotechnology. He inspired students in the view of nanomaterial application in clinical uses, such as dental care. Dr. Tsui also encouraged our students to create more new ideas based on principle knowledge learning from college and universities. Life Science students were inspired a lot by the potential use of nanomaterials.

Dr. Dennis Chan and his team introduced and demonstrated the lab equipment to Life Science students.
Dr. Tsui Kwong Hoi shared his research experience and product with our students.

Last but not least, Dr. Eugene Hung, a lecturer from the Department of Life Science at HKUST, gave students a short talk about Biotechnology curriculum articulation to CIE students. Students gained more information and encouragement for further study in biotechnology.

Thanks to Dr. Eugene Hung for introducing the study path of Life Science at HKUST.
