CIE Investment Club organized The 2019 Investment Knowledge and Skill Seminar on 12 SEP 2019. The aims of the seminar is to deepen students’ investment skill and knowledge as well as to prepare students for The 4th Joint University Investment Game. The theme of the seminar reflects the current market situation: Invest in a Bearish Market.
Mr. William Lai, Course Coordinator of Financial Management Concentration Studies, demonstrated how to use special financial products such as the inverse funds, futures and options to gain from the downward movement of the market. Participants were surprised by the non-traditional investment concepts.
Around 140 participants from various Concentration Studies of the Associate Degree Programme and Undergraduate Programmes joined the seminar. They found the seminar very informative and practicable. They would adopt the investment strategies learned in the seminar in the 4th Joint University Investment Game.
