CIE organised a seminar to kick-off “Marketers Competition 2015-16” in collaboration with Ocean Park Hong Kong. With “The Blue Matters (同心護海洋)” as the theme this year, participants have to submit a marketing proposal and action plan to promote the marine conservation movement for Ocean Park, which is cultivating advocacy for overall marine environmental protection.
At the kick-off Seminar, Mr. Perry Chung, Marketing Director of Ocean Park explained the requirements of the conceptual plans that need to be submitted for the Competition, so that students could get a better idea on how to suggest marketing strategies for their marine conservation movement – The Blue Matters.
The Seminar was well-attended by over 100 students. LAU Yan Yu Yannie (Year 2, Marketing) shared that she found the presentation inspiring because not only information about the marine conservation movement could be learnt, but also the previous marketing strategies of Ocean Park could be successfully applied in real life.
Around 10 entries will be selected from the 29 enrolled teams to enter the final round of Competition to be held in March 2016.
