CIE is organizing the first CIE Marketers Competition (CIEMC) in February 2014 with an aim to give students an opportunity to apply their marketing and business knowledge in the real commercial field.
To kick off the competition, a Sharing Session by this year’s sponsor Mr. Donald Tse Po Tat, Chairman of Hung Fook Tong was held on 7th November in Kowloon Tong campus with an attendance of over 60 Competition contestants.
During the briefing, Mr. Tse shared with students the successful stories of the company, as well as some concerns and difficulties the Company had encountered during the business development process. Students also had the chance to discuss with Mr. Tse in order to gain a better understanding of the business operation and its future directions where the company is heading.
Kenneth, one of the contestants said, “The sharing by Mr. Tse was really inspiring and we knew more about how marketing concepts could be applied efficiently and effectively in the business world.”
Eleven teams were selected into the second round of the competition out from 36 teams of enrollment for the Competition and each team was required to submit a concrete marketing plan on how to develop the business as well as to strengthen the positive brand image of Hung Fook Tong as the final goal. The winners of the competition will be awarded scholarships and given internship opportunities to work in Hung Fook Tong in the summer.
