第三屆投資策劃比賽

The theme of The 3rd i-Plan Competition 2016 was Shanghai-Hong Kong Connect (滬港通). The finalists selected four listed companies to analyze, one is listed in Shanghai exchange and the other are listed in Hong Kong exchange. 

CIE Investment Club was much honored to have invited senior management executives of our sponsor, I-Access Group, Mr. Michael Hung, Chief Marketing Officer; Ms. Alice Cheng, Head of Compliance and Complaint Department and Dr. Gordon Wong, Division Leader, Business Division of CIE, HKBU to be the adjudicators. 

After rounds of keen competition, the champion went to a team of Financial Management students who conducted an investment plan for BYD Company Limited. 

The adjudicating panel highly commended on the performance of the contestants and the adjudicator agreed that it was a difficult decision to rank the 4 contesting groups due to their complication of comparing different industries and evaluate the impact of government policies on the economy. 

The Investment Plan Competition comprises two stages of activities including lectures, online quizzes, investment simulations, writing proposals and presentations before entering the final round of competition. This year, it was well attended by over 220 students.
