Preface
“The Punctum”, the title of the e-journal, being the peripheral, the unexpected, the insignificant, being the binary opposite of the “studium” (viz. political correctness), denotes as well as describes most of the contemporary cultural and intellectual tastes.
“The Punctum” currently showcases scholarly and creative works accomplished by fellow-academics of both the English Team and the Cultural Studies and Creative Industries programme in Division of Arts and Languages. With its ultimate objectives to enliven intellectual interactions across all CIE colleagues working in areas encompassing art, language, literary and cultural studies, and any humanities-related disciplines, we aim to develop the e-journal into a College-wide online publication platform featuring both academic attainments as well as collaborative efforts of CIE lecturers.
