I was nervous about going to a university that was far away from home and studying in a very different environment. Gratefully, CIE provided a lot of support to non-local students and I quickly adapted to the college life in Hong Kong. Teachers and fellow students were nice and friendly. They helped me with my studies and I also enjoyed the extra-curriculum activities very much.

The whole person education in CIE is remarkable. In addition to the major courses, the linguistics and philosophy courses helped me a lot when I articulated to undergraduate studies. The philosophy course always gave me some good mental support when I encountered difficulties in my studies. Also, the linguistics courses helped me to build a solid foundation in English.

During my time at CIE, I engaged in both experiential and service-learning projects, including the mental health training programme. This initiative taught me about mental first aid and allowed me to design and conduct an online workshop on student mental health awareness, which developed my critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills. The well-designed lectures, experiments, and mentorship I received from CIE's lecturers in the area of nutrition and food management also provided me with a thorough understanding of this field, which is beneficial for my future development.

My journey at CIE began when everything was deeply affected by the pandemic, given the adversities the society was facing, I wasn’t optimistic about my new study life. Everyone was concerned about the effectiveness of online education, and the College was able to keep its professionalism. The courses were fruitful and the lecturers were passionate and caring. As the pandemic started to ease, we finally returned to campus and enjoyed the learning facilities, in which the library and gymnasium were my favourite. Meeting classmates and lecturers face to face just made my learning experience so much better and meaningful. In general, I am very pleased with my experience at CIE.
