In addition to lectures, the Concentration Studies of Environmental Conservation Studies at CIE provided laboratory works and field trips to help us prepare further studies and build up knowledge in the conservation field. The internship programme allowed me to gain more about specialised knowledge which was not covered in class. During my internship in Mai Po to conduct a wetland biodiversity project, I opened my eyes to the different species, and various methods to collect samples such as fish, spiders, bees etc. All these are valuable and useful in my current study as well as future career.
