More than 30 CIE students came for the talk on the difficulties faced by Ethnic Minorities in Hong Kong. Ms. Phyllis Cheung, Executive Director of HK Unison, discussed the difficulties faced by different minority groups in Hong Kong in the areas of education, employment and accommodation.

In terms of education, HK Unison has been advocating the introduction of standard Chinese language into the curriculum of primary and secondary education for ethnic minorities.  At the same time, HK Unison is also raising the awareness on the plight of ethnic minorities through talks, seminars and other platforms.  So far, it has covered a number of important milestones in advocating equal opportunities for ethnic minorities, in education and employment.
