Four Associate Degree (AD) students from Division of Business of the College of International Education won the CITIC Telecom Award of Best Innovation Awards 2014 organized by the School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).

The competition aims at giving the sub-degree students the opportunity to demonstrate their exquisite knowledge and creativity and to enhance their writing and presentation skills. Each participating team is required to develop recruitment strategies to publicize The Rising Star Programme for The Hong Kong Jockey Club.

Lam Wing In, Hedy from the CIE winning team said “It was a very valuable experience as we can apply the concepts and theories that we learnt from the marketing courses effectively. Although we had some difficulties in exploring the direction and ideas of the promotion when we first started the preparation, we finally made it and achieved very positive results, with the advice and encouragement from our lecturers.”

Besides having students participate in public competitions, the Division of Business also arranges different kinds of activities throughout the year; for example, company visits, charity sale and the CIE Marketers Competition to enrich students’ learning experience in real life scenario.
