CIE students participate in online financial lecture with Coventry University, UK

CIE students from Financial Planning course recently participated in an online cross-cultural financial planning lecture with Coventry University, UK.  

During the online lecture, Dr Lien Luu, Associate Professor of Coventry University and Mr William Lai, Associate Programme Director (Business) of Associate Degree Programme of CIE shared the differences in financial planning practices between the UK and Hong Kong. They also invited Mr Nick Robinson, Director and Chartered Financial Planner at Charlton House Wealth Management, UK, to share his experience and insight in the financial services profession with the students.

Students were fully engaged in the virtual exchange and were enthusiastic to learn more about the financial situation of the two places. The exorbitant property price in Hong Kong and heavy tax burden in the UK had aroused much of a discussion among students.
