HKBU female team successfully defends championship title at inter-university tennis tournament

The female student tennis team won the championship again at this year’s inter-university tennis tournament, bringing honours to the University.

 

The winning team included Angela Lau (Sport and Recreation Leadership, Year 2), Chan Long-yan (Sport and Recreation Leadership, Year 3), Ki Yan-tung (Physical Education and Recreation Management, Year 2), and three new members Ma Shiu-kwan (Associate Degree, Year 1), Tang Po-ying (Sport and Recreation Leadership, Year 2) and Merel Wallis de Vries (exchange student from Holland).

 

The HKBU team beat opponent teams with a score of 3:0 in all three matches and entered the semi-final in first place. They then won three matches to compete for the championship. Eventually, they beat the City University of Hong Kong team to capture the championship for the second consecutive year.
