Professional Seminar: Careers in the Securities Industry and i-plan Stage 1 (Level 1) Training Session

Financial Management Concentration Studies and CIE Investment Club organised a professional seminar: “Careers in the Securities Industry” and “Investment-plan Stage 1(Level 1) Training Session” in September. Over 150 students participated in these activities.

The club is delighted to have invited Mr. Peter Kan and Ms. Kiko Cheng, Section Heads from the Clientele & Asset Management Department of i-Access Group to speak on the topic.

The two guest speakers introduced various career positions in the securities industry, such as fund manager and analyst and their entry requirements, career paths and the prospect of the industry. Students found their sharing very practical and brought them new insights into the financial industry.

Following the seminar, there was a training session conducted by Mr. William Lai, Course Coordinator of Financial Management of CIE. The training sessions equipped participants with investment knowledge and skill. Students showed appreciation for getting an early understanding of risks and returns of investments.
