CIE Business Studies Society organises study tour to Wholesale Markets in Guangzhou

To provide an opportunity for our students to learn more about the logistics and merchandising procedures and get well prepared for running the booth at Lunar New Year Fair 2016, CIE Business Studies Society organised a study tour to wholesale markets in Guangzhou. 

The group paid visits to “Guangzhou Yide Lu New Year Fair Wholesale Market” (廣州一德路年宵批發市場) and “Guangzhou Thirteen Factories” (廣州十三行) where a lot of Japanese and Korean fashion products were available to overseas buyers. The two markets are hot merchandising spots for many Hong Kong merchants, where they can source a supply of products for sale in the Lunar New Year Fair.

CIE BSS Advisor and three CIE alumni advisors, Dr. Martin Tsui, Mr. Parco Lam, Ms. Vivian Lee and Ms. Meekness Wong led the tour and brought the young entrepreneurs to Guangzhou. During the trip, the advisors shared their own experience and knowledge of running a business with students.  

The Lunar New Year Fair 2016 will be held during 2 – 7 February at the Victoria Park. Please come to visit the booth “Fun Monkeys (猴打意)” (booth no.: 196) and show your support to our students!
