Fifteen CIE business students attended the “Belt and Road International Forum 2016” on 29th January to explore the blueprint of this new development and the business opportunities in the coming decades.

The Forum was organised by “The Hong Kong World Trade Organization Research Institute” and the “Hong Kong Commerce and Industry Associations” and co-organised by “Hong Kong Basic Law Education Association”. Government officials and speakers around the world were invited to share their unique views on this groundbreaking initiative.

Academics and scholars from various countries were also invited to share their belief in overcoming challenges ahead. Topics such as Trans-Pacific Partnership, The Belt and Road Initiative & Eurasian Union; and the Belt and Road Initiative & European Union were widely discussed.

While the initiative has covered areas which probably have high growth rates in the future, there will also be a lot of potential in trade, economic integration and investment. Business students certainly found attending the forum rewarding.
