Forty students from the concentration studies of Tourism and Hospitality Management volunteered as event ambassadors at the New World Harbour Race held on 5 and 6 Oct 2013. More than 2,000 swimmers of various age groups and from different countries participated in this spectacular event.

Phoebe, a student participant, said “I am so glad to be able to contribute in this successful event. I enjoy the team spirit in event management.” Other students also appreciated the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful event.

Established in September 2013, the Tourism & Hospitality Management Club (T&H) aims to provide various outside-the-classroom learning opportunities. Students from the concentration studies of Tourism and Hospitality Management are all club members and they are given the opportunities to participate in placement activities, field trips, company visits and career talks, which equip students with the essential knowledge and practical skills in tourism and hospitality management.
