CIE organises a study tour to Huawei Technology Company Limited

A group of 15 participants including students and lecturers of Computing Studies paid a study tour to Huawei Technology Company Limited in Shenzhen, a leading global information and communications technology solutions provider serving over 170 countries worldwide.

The tour began with a visit of the product exhibition hall where students were briefed on the company background, industry prospects and details of product development. Students were able to learn about the latest mobile technology and information and communication technology. The visit offered students with an inspirational experience which has raised their awareness of the significance of technology in daily lives and its contribution to economic development.

A Q&A session was arranged in the last part of the tour. Students were keen to ask questions about the innovation and technological development. Ms. Debbie Leung, Senior Product Manager of Huawei Technology Company Limited shared her insights in the latest technology advancement, and elaborated the concepts and applications of Smart City, as well as the usage of Big Data.
