国际学院商学会参观领汇商场环保新措施

CIE students of the Business Studies Society visited Lok Fu Shopping Centre in January 2015 to learn about the implementation of “Green Business Concepts” in property management of Lok Fu Plaza and Market.
 

Lok Fu Shopping Centre was built in 1983. In view of its aging condition, The Link has conducted a revitalization project, turning it into a new style of Lok Fu Plaza and Market. Mr. Winson Chan, Assistant Portfolio Manager of The Link Real Estate Investment Trust (The Link Reit) shared his experience of this revitalization project and achievements with our students.

To support environmental conservation, the Link has partnered with Food Angel (惜食堂) to launch the “Surplus Food Collection and Donation Programme” at its fresh markets. Collection points in Lok Fu Plaze have been designated to collect food leftovers from the restaurants in the market and turned them into compost that are useful for organic farming. Students were much impressed by the green business concepts adopted by the Link’s management.
