树木管理同学参与康乐及文化事务署实习工作

Tree management students of CIE took part in an internship at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of HKSAR government earlier. Nine students worked with the LCSD tree management team who are responsible for inspecting the conditions of trees located in parks and recreational areas. Students’ duties included visual tree assessments in order to ensure that all the trees do not have any potential hazards to people living nearby. Further duties included carrying out tree surveys and inventories to schedule tree pruning to maintain the beauty of trees.

During this internship, students gained a challenge and rewarding real life experience. It also gave the Year One students an opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge into practice. This experience will enhance their knowledge and will be beneficial for their future studies, and careers.
