Student teams from the Nurturing Social Minds Programme at HKBU worked with four Social Venture Partners to develop competing funding proposals for a grant of HK$250,000 from the Yeh Family Philanthropy. In the Funding Committee Meeting, which was held on 8 April 2019, the student teams pitched their ideas for how to use the grant to increase the social impact and improve the financial performance of their respective Social Venture Partners. The team that partnered with WashEasy Dishware Cleaning Service successfully received the grant with their pitch for a marketing campaign that would raise public awareness for issues concerning persons with disabilities in Hong Kong and at the same time generate more business for the social venture. The WashEasy team, together with the three other teams which represented the social ventures Doctor BB, My Main Stage, and Under Production, have impressed the judges and guests from HKBU and the social enterprise community in Hong Kong. Congratulations!

The winning team comprises: Alfie (BMK), Harry (BMK), Suey (BMK), Zoe (BMK), Toby (BBA MKT), Seneca (MScEGM), and Lawrence (MScBM).
